On a more serious note, I'm pretty ambivalent to the idea that we will probably be ousted from Afghanistan by some really awful people. It happened to the British Empire and the Soviet Union and in all likelihood it will happen to us too. I know, "But Merca's DIFRINT" but really as far as bloated declining empires go it really isn't. I don't really like those mooselimbs in Afghanistan either but there's some kind of strange irony in the idea of being beaten by backwards religious-right savages that I can't quite put my finger on...
