All of a sudden, may be after I did some upgrading I have that control bar on top
of the panel which one ususally has on opened windows. It does not make
sense on the panel since it is a disturbance.

Have others this experience and is there a way to get rid of that control bar?

Solved! I switched to gnome-panel. Smiley Just as good or better. Wink
