If a user is added using the vasm facility it automaitically assigns
the home directory with the name of the new user w/o asking.

If a new user is added from the console using the 'adduser' program
one is asked what will be the name for ther new home directory.

For one reason among others I prefer this since I never use my login name
for my home directory.

Would it be possible to program vasm that one is given a choice for the name
of the home directory?

Perhaps rather than getting fancy with "choices" with VASM, just change the script to where it asks for user input for the directory name? That way it mirrors "adduser" from terminal.

VASM is an attempt to be all things for all users. Changing the default settings
can be a problem for new users since some are not sure what a home partition
is, which is why it was made that way.
