We need lighter weight window managers or some type of netbook flavor of Vector to work with in the future. It'll make life much easier for netbook owners!

VL6 Light comes with IceWM as its default window manager. JWM is also included. IceWM is one of the lightest and it's extremely configurable and just all-around nice. I don't know if VL6 Light installs easily on netbooks.

I have installed VL 6.0 Light on the HP 2133 and HP 1000. The only issue is choppy video on the 2133 but that is caused by the old 1ghz Via C7 processor.

Laptop: IBM X60s (Centrino/Duo, 2gb ram, 80gb hd) VL 6.0 Std
Netbook: HP Mini (Intel Atom 1ghz, 2gb ram, 16gb SSD + 8gb flash ) VL 6.0 Std
Desktop: Dell Dimension 5150 (P4 3ghz, 2gb ram, 80gb hd) VL 6.0 Std
Wife's Desktop: Gateway (P4 2ghz, 1gb ram, 80gb hd) VL 6.0 Std
