More netbook support or netbook version
« on: October 21, 2010, 06:12:00 pm »

We need lighter weight window managers or some type of netbook flavor of Vector to work with in the future. It'll make life much easier for netbook owners!

VL6 Light comes with IceWM as its default window manager. JWM is also included. IceWM is one of the lightest and it's extremely configurable and just all-around nice. I don't know if VL6 Light installs easily on netbooks.

Happily running VL 7 Gold on  a Sempron LE-1300 desktop (2.3 GHz), 4 G RAM,  GeForce 6150 SE onboard graphics and on an HP Pavilion dv7 i7, 6 gigs, Intel 2nd Generation Integrated Graphics Controller

I have installed VL 6.0 Light on the HP 2133 and HP 1000. The only issue is choppy video on the 2133 but that is caused by the old 1ghz Via C7 processor.
