Hi guys. A buddy of mine has been running Ubuntu 8 for a few years and ran my rig yesterday.
He wants me to load Vector 6.0 std. on his rig Grin
His setup has the /home on another partition. Can I just load over, replacing his Ubuntu with Vector ?
I'm pretty sure once he fires up Firefox or goes to a site his passwords will still be there.
Am I correct ?

BTW congratz on alpha 7. It's coming along nicely. I haven't had much time to play with it since it's planting season here.
Off to the fields.....

I wouldn't do that. Better to use a fresh /home location and selectively copy over what you want (like .mozilla for firefox). At least make a backup of the old /home so you can recover if needed.

There are a lot of hidden files in the home dir. Crud tends to accumulate, and config files may be distro-specific. You risk ruining the "VL experience" by mixing the two.
