For the longest time, I have used the Georgia Tech university mirrors. For me, these are always the fastest mirror for any distro. Recently the directory structure for vector's mirror directory on gatech has become corrupt, thus causing the death of this repository.
This is normally the base path for the repo mirror here:
http://www.gtlib.gatech.edu/pub/linux/distributions/vectorlinux/veclinux-6.0/Now there is only a "development" directory under
http://www.gtlib.gatech.edu/pub/linux/distributions/vectorlinux/
