Hi. can't seem to find the md5sum of VL 6.0 standard. .. so i cannot compare it to the one i downloaded ..
i have succesfully installed VL6.0 on my desktop (together with other and recently used 5.8 and Sw12.0) install successful but upon booting (i have included 6.0 in my 5.8's lilo) it just stops on a point where in it says:
VFS: Mounting /dev/hdc12 read only.. etc..
"Freeing unused kernel memory..212k freed"i am not sure if this is a mem failure (though all of my linux boxes runs properly)
OR i just got screwed by my downloaded distro
EDIT :
ok so i have checked the md5sum . .and it's good.
http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/veclinux-6.0/iso-release/VL6.0-STD-Gold.iso.md5.txtis matched with :
me@slackerz:/mnt/winback/DOWNLOADS$ md5sum VL6.0-STD-Gold.iso
d132ad563da5bdab2a65b04fb6aa3b83 VL6.0-STD-Gold.iso
ok.. so i have installed this on the 4th time. .but seems still does not work
btw, i did not installed LILO since I added this on my existing one. .
