Hi to all the memebers of Vector linux,
I have a laptop IMB thinkpad 770Z, I have been trying to install little distros linux to keep it working, the 2 distros that I got installed are DSL and vector, DSL for some reason I didn't liked it and Vector looks much better but I can't get wireless card work, a have Cnet cwc-854 pcmcia and I lost the disk that came with it but I have a USB that is Nexxt Lynx 150 and it has the disk and on the disk it has 2009_1106_rt3070_linux_sta_v2.1.1.0 I don't know what to do with this file in order to activate the wifi card, I found this http://forum.vectorlinux.com/index.php?topic=1282.0 but it seems like is hard to do for me.

Assuming VL6: Looks like the Cnet cwc-854 pcmcia adapter uses the rt61 chip. There is a package rt61-firmware in the repo. I'd start by installing that package and see if it makes any difference

Kudos to Nexxt for stating Linux support on the specs and supplying the code for the driver. You will need to compile this on your system.
