Welcome back Alex.  If help is offered we could sure use some more testers and or packagers.

Ken. I'd gladly spend several whole days(10hours ++) on packaging. The rainy season is driving me nuts ! ( I'm a guide and it has been dead due to the fierce wind)
 Got one of your links to teach me how to create them ?

@Murdock
This is the best way to learn.  Start by using existing slackbuilds from the vl60 source repositories.
Here is an example.
Packaging for VL7.0 Course 1-01

I'm willing to work with you on this Murdock...also anyone else willing to jump in.  It really shouldn't even require a great deal of experience.
If we can get enough people involved we could reproduce vl60 repositories to current version for vl70 in pretty short order.

Don't want to hi-jack Alextaylor's thread so I'm starting a new thread here....http://forum.vectorlinux.com/index.php?topic=12933.0

@Murdock could you be so kind as to be the first to put your name in and get the ball rolling.

Hi!,
I’m completely retired now and have finished my around the house to do list. I will do anything I can to help. If you have something in particular you want tested, let me know. I will start right now by following your post to Murdock. It may take time for me to get back up to speed but, I have the time.
