ML 2010P Samsung printer

I need some help with my printer.CUPS wont work and the unified driver is not working either.I'm new to VL and Slackware so i need some help.

Yes, the supplied Samsung install disc now seems  primarily for Windows

Did yours include  a linux install (.sh) file ?

If not,  or    after the S/S install, it complains (missing rastertosamsungspl/c)

Sometimes, (if lucky) an alternate (I.E. earlier) printer ppd works

Cups's own  database has limited  printer drivers

Many find it better to run cups manually, vs Distro GUI tools

One work around solution  is to use deprecated lpr (along with Foomatic)

I had problems after purchase of Samsung scx-3200 laser: (print/copy/scan)

I done it :DDD
I've found the ppd file for my printer on openprintig.org and I configured the printer over CUPS.

NTIM _ I bought the scx 3200 because it was cheaper ($70Cdn) than ML1740 toner replacement
(Still kicking myself - that newer model was some sweet bargain)

The only "dumb" question - is the one not asked

From above, it was unclear as to what was meant by  "U..DRIVER"
 (=  An odd  description for Samsung Unified driver ?)

When Unified driver gets installed - an UN-installer is  created 

Now WTH was meant by  " DDD" (device driver download  ?_

OFFICIALY Linux DDD - is an IDEwrapper:  Data  Display De-bugger,   for code traces

yes u.driver meant Unified driver,but :DDD was a multiple cheesy smiley
