I downloaded and installed Vector 7.0 beta 2 yesterday and unfortunately found two problems;
1 / The X11 keyboard maps seem to be missing, so I can't load the UK keyboard map; the only one available is the US map, so " and @ are transposed in X Windows on my machine.
2 / I had a preexisting installation of 6.0 KDE Classic on my machine. The automatic install of LILO evidently misread my Vector 6.0 KDE Classic boot folder, so I got a "kernel panic" when I tried to boot VL KDE Classic from the LILO boot menu.
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news and all that but you did ask for problems! Also, a couple of apps I've come to rely on in Vector are apparently no longer present; Chestnut Dialer for PPP dialup, and K3B for burning data and ISOs to CD and DVD. Is this intentional?
Regards,
Colonel Panic .
