Libreoffice is now in the testing repository of vl7.0.  Please test and provide feedback.

Tried to install but says missing silgraphite>=2.3.1 - which is actually in the reps. I installed silgraphite and tried again, but it still refused to install.

Hi Andy;
Nice catch, a fix is coming in the next couple hours you should be able to install without issue.

Two things...
1. silgraphite is not installing as a dependency because I mistakenly left the '-' hyphen on the end of silgraphite.
Little mistakes like this are why I don't do heart surgery. Grin
2. Since you have installed silgraphite already, after getting the error message from gslapt, just click execute and then 'ok' anyway and libreoffice should still install.

err... ok three things.

3. That being said I'm going to re-do with libgraphite as the dep (it's newer). Should be done today.(by tomorrow for sure)

Later on if you want to try/test that libreoffice, uninstall both silgraphite and libreoffice and clear the cache and update gslapt before trying again.

Thanks for catching that Andy.

Quick work! It installs fine now, but when I save a document in Writer it saves ok but gives an error message while doing it: "Error saving the document (doc name). General Error."  When I re-open the document it opens but gives a "General Error" message. The other apps in the suite don't seem to suffer from this problem.
Cheers

Got the same error, but as you said the doc saves all the same and the error does not occur again until you create a brand new document.  Will wait and see if an update corrects this but for now, I'm giving it a low priority. Open for anyone else though.

I get the same error, also the spell check doesn't seem to work until you save the document, close it and then reopen it.  Or at least it doesn't if I chose UK English as my local etc.

Libreoffice Impress crashes after a slide show askes to click to end slide show.

Can't get spell check to work at all, not while typing and F7 tells check complete
even on badly spelled wurds.

Trying to set a UK dictionary in LibreOffice, any clues on how to do this and where to get the dictionary from?

Lyn,

Apparently there's no GB English dictionary for Libreoffice yet.  I was looking at this too because a few friends in the UK, France, and Australia are trying out Libreoffice, and naturally want to use a British English dictionary when they spell check.

I found the link below.  I haven't tried it myself, but probably will tonight or tomorrow evening.

It's a workaround, but might help until there's a real dictionary.
