PHP and Apache not working
« on: May 08, 2011, 07:17:44 pm »
PHP 5.2
Apache/2.2.12

Both from the repos

VL 6.0

After uncommenting "Include /etc/httpd/mod_php.conf" in the httpd.conf the error message i get when starting apache is:

Cannot load /usr/lib/httpd/modules/libphp5.so into server: /usr/lib/httpd/modules/libphp5.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Is there a libs pkg i need to pick up?

NVM: i found an answer on this board using GOOGLE as a way of searching the board. id be embarrassed if i were in charge of the board.

It could be helpful to other users, if you would present here the solution that you have discovered. You can also modify your existing title and append [solved] or such, inorder that others browsing the thread list may know that you have solved your issue.

Regarding the search feature:
There are two search tools built into this board. One is to the left, next to 'HOME' (below your avatar), and it works pretty well. I just searched for "Cannot load /usr/lib/httpd/modules/libphp5.so" and the link above came up as the first result.

The other search tool is to the right and has 'Now powered by KnowledgeDex' below it. It tends to break once or twice a year and takes a bit of time before it gets fixed. Right now it's broken but I recall bigpaws saying the problem has been reported.

The other search option does work pretty well, i hadnt tried it before, assuming that both were linked.
A simple interim workaround would be to have the text input box (not working courtesy of knowledge dex) linked to the search function that actually does work.
