There is a program called wammu in the repository.  It can be installed by gslapt.

According to this webpage http://wammu.eu/phones/motorola/
It has the following support for your phone.
Motorola razr v3    at115200    info, sms, phonebook, enhancedphonebook, filesystem

Let me know how it works out for you.  I built the wammu/gammu package for the repositories and I think this is the first opportunity to have it tested.
Thanks.

Http: response errors usually occur if something has been moved or changed in the repository since your last update.

Try this.
as root run
rm /home/ftp/pub/veclinux/packages/package_data

Then update gslapt.

Then try wammu again. I downloaded here, seemed fine.

Out of curiosity, what are you trying to do with the phone? Use it as a DUN modem? Transfer data(pictures) to/from it?
