sound problems
« on: March 29, 2011, 11:23:46 am »
hi everyone,

first of all, i really love the speed of vector.

but now i have a problem: When i tried to install vector (light version) alsa couldn't find my soundcard.

now i don't have a 'normal setup' : The onboard audio got recognized by alsa (but that one is completely broken somehow and dousn't even work with windows and the proper drivers) and bought me a usb sound card(which worked with all windows and linux distros i tried) but that one isn't listed by alsa config. But when i look at what devices Vector has found it lists my usb sound card.

if anyone can help i would be very happy

ps: sorry for my bad English

You sound problems may simply be that your preferred card is not being selected as default.
I've made a video on how I've tried to handle this problem.

Most music on my soundcloud page was arranged in programs running on VL.
