Thanks for building this!

I gave it a small workout and no problems noted.

Granny, I had earlier built myself an RC4 and found it quite buggy during editing and marking text for applying styles, etc. Went back to 1.3.9 and decided to wait for a 1.4 final, or maybe even 1.4.1, LOL. Is RC5 really fixed in this respect?

I don't know. I don't use it that much. On the Scrbus mailing list, some people are having no problems and say some problems have been fixed, others report bugs.

hi there,

i dont know but after install scribus scribus-1.4.0.rc5-i586-1vl7.0 from ftp://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/vectorlinux/veclinux-7.0/extra/  it shows me
Code:
scribus: error while loading shared libraries: libpodofo.so.0.8.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
. Looking for  libpodofo.so.0.8.3 in Gslapt gives no result. I will check again removed packages in log data.
