Hi

I was looking for a distro that could be used on a Compaq 5838 from 2000 with only 192 Mb sd pc100 ram and
among many others I found VL 6 light edition. - It runs fine as a live cd but when installed to hd the boot process
stops just before finishing saying something like: Setting up messagebus .. and then nothing happens.  Huh

Unfortunately, you downloaded the Live version of VL6 Light. For installing on a hard drive, it's much better to use VL6 Light--not Light Live. I think you'd be a lot happier if you installed VL6 Light. Your hardware should be acceptable.
