The LIVE version of VL7 Standard RC2.1 is now available. Some space concessions have to be made on a LiveCD, so we decided to strip out some documentation and a few wallpapers. This allows us to have almost the same package collection as the install-only version. Read Vector's release notes about it here:

If you have a spare partition or a virtual machine, we'd appreciate feedback on the install procedure. Right now the updater only downloads a testing package. New updates will be announced in this thread, stay tuned.
The live system will automatically log you in as user "vl". You can also log in as root. There are no passwords.
