When I turn on my computer, I have to wait 9 seconds or press enter to start vector linux, and I just want the first option of the boot menu: "linux".
Does anybody know how to disable this boot menu or how to boot automatically with the option "linux"?

I assume you are using lilo, how about try change the timeout option in your /etc/lilo.conf?

Remember to run /sbin/lilo -v after the changes...

Looking at your original post, you'll see link to "Modify" in the upper right corner. Choose it and edit the subject line. Most often, we add the word [Solved], brackets included, often upper case. There isn't a consesus whether it goes first or last.

Thank you for taking the time to check back.

Come to think of it, adding a "mark solved" link would help. No idea what that would entail.
