.bashrc for root
« on: October 15, 2011, 11:07:02 pm »
Hello,

in VL 6.0 Light I have modified root's .bashrc to get a different prompt and certain alias definitions.
On that occasion, I noticed that .bashrc for root is NOT sourced when doing 'su -' while a plain 'su' works as expected!
Sourcing the file by hand does have the desired effect, so it is not a problem with the .bashrc file itself - it is just ignored.
I would be grateful for any hint how to rectify this.

Regards,
