A general comment on the Broadcom stuff: with the new kernels (think VL 7.0 here) the driver is now included but the firmware remains proprietary. This is true of the Broadcom 4312 chip in my HP netbook and is true of the 4322 hybrids as well. fwcutter will need to be packaged for VL7 if it isn't already. If Broadcom permits packaging of the firmware we should do that. Failing that, we could do what some other distros do and have a package that is essentially a script which downloads the firmware from the Broadcom site and installs it.
For VL6, of course, you still need the older, proprietary driver.
