Can I mount a home partition with out reinstalling Vector?
« on: December 21, 2011, 11:23:27 am »
Hi all, I a, really impressed by Vector linux but when I first installed it I installed it along with Linux Mint 9 Isedora fluxbox and I can't open it which is what me play around with Vector and tinker with it, the best my cpu ever run but the thing is I now have this useless partition and it is bugging me, I want to mount it as home but I did so much work in here that I do not want to do a clean install cause I will have to reconfigure it. So can I mount my other partition to /home without reinstalling?

You can edit /etc/fstab to reflect your partition

And before mounting the new partition on /home, copy your existing home dirs to it.
