I've just checked PCManFM Edit, Preferences, and in the General tab you can choose "Move deleted files to trash bin instead of erasing from disk." So you don't have to deal with the Trash at all if you don't want to. You can also choose "Confirm before deleting files" if you want to do that or uncheck it if you don't.

PERFECT! Thanks for the tip Granny! I guess missed that configuration option when I started using pcmanfm2(0.9x), and have just been hating trash can so long that I never re-checked!

I know it has been a while. Right now the emphasis is on STD and Live. There have been spurts of progress, the fruits of which can be seen in Light Live A5. Once STD goes final, things should pick up. Appreciate the interest.

light live a5 is pretty good.  im using that as my main development environment now and have not haf a single problem.

I wonder if I should add the light version as my main and add to it...  one way of getting a Vector 7 system up and running with my fav window manager

Lyn, I suggest holding off a little. There have been major changes between Light A5 and current STD.

Being a self diagnosed fluxbox junkie I haven't tried PCmanFM, always used thunar, wanna try it now lol

The package "icewmvmods" is available in the repo. It will add a choice in your login manager "IceWm", plus PCManFM and some more more customizations.

My main issue with vanilla icewm is the menu, easy to build by hand but a bit laborious, there was a script you could run (not the one with the mods for icewm done for vector) but that ceased to work on my machine.... so the mods get my vote for making Icewm the best for my machine.  Have done a rough theme of my own too... will have to give you a screenshot.
