I have just given a very quick try to VL64 7.0 STD B2.6 in VirtualBox.
- Extremely fast and responsive.
THE NOT SO GOOD:
- Minor bugs after installation: 1) Some kind of ncurses consoles asking to reconfigure the keyboard and the location, however it is not possible; 2) I cannot select a screen resolution higher than 1280x1024 (even if it was possible during installation); 2) Wicd claims it cannot connect to the network, even if it actually does.
- Kernel 3.1.8 is installed but no matching headers are installable. The pre-installed headers version is 2.6.37. I searched Gslapt but no matching headers version was available. I noticed that kernel-related packages were excluded. I included them and added extra repos, to no avail. I wanted to install VBox Guest Additions in order to resize the screen on the go as required, but I could not.
- Relatively few packages available as compared to Debian.
