Comments and general discussion can go here but a specific bug like a hardware issue or something that crashes needs to go to our new bitbucket bug tracker..................which you can find here:
https://bitbucket.org/VLCore/vl70/issues

This is a better way for the developers to track bugs so please give it a try makes life easier for us and much more efficient.
Thank you for testing and your ongoing support!!

Cheers,

All loaded OK, some issues with the text in the read me file prior to install where the longer sentences are cut off.

Might be an idea just to give people a heads up on first run  for icewm and jde that they have to run update menu to get full functionality our of the system.

Some issues, using the full install and then running xine on icewm I could not eject the disk at the end.  When I closed the application it had vanished from the menu, I had to run the build menu script to get it back.

I see TED didn't make it into the distro... or do you get if you run the medium install?

The IceWM menu builder should run automatically on first login, will check on that.

TED is included in the "Light" choice. Above that you get Abiword. The package is available on the disk in the "option1" directory.

This version found both of my printers, Brother DCP-385C and Epson LQ-300 and both are printing. Cheesy

LXMusic does not find the audio CD: Sad

Code:
Could not mount cdrom

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail  or so

xmms does find the audio CD and files are listed in playlist, however, will not play at all.  Huh
Clicking on play gives no reaction.

xine crashes when clicked on CD in controls:  Cry

Code:
X Error of failed request:  BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request:  132 (XVideo)
Minor opcode of failed request:  17 ()
Serial number of failed request:  2593
Current serial number in output stream:  2593

xine does play a DVD.  Smiley

Forgot, vlc does now play a DVD

Just posted this issue on Bitbucket:
https://bitbucket.org/VLCore/vl70/issue/26/vl-70-light-beta2-installer-crashes

As said, the installer still crashes on my Duron machine during the "Searching for install media" screen.  Huh
It doesn't seem to be a hardware bug because I successfully installed VL 7.0 RC 3.4 on it, in contrast to a buggy box which had a broken CPU...

Will try on my Pentium 2 machine, on which Beta 1 works later... Wink

Looks like lxmusic only does local files. I set xmms to use digital audio extraction and audio cds play now.

Have no explanation to the installer crashing on media search.  Embarrassed
