Screen shot program
« on: January 23, 2012, 08:10:13 am »

I want to install a screenshot program. My preference is snapper followed by ksnapshot but I cannot find either on the repo. What do experience VL users use?

VL Standard comes with xfce4-screenshooter by default, IIRC. In the repo, I can see gtk-screenshot, ksnapshot (will install part of KDE) and emprint-svn (will install part of enlightenment). There is also an xfce plugin for that (xfce4-screenshooter-plugin).

xfce-screenshooter is fine although it only appears to save in .png. ksnapshot does not appear in my updated listing. Thanks for your help.

I was curious about snapper.  I did a quick search on google and couldn't find an opensource ap by that name.  If you could point me in the right direction I could see if I could build it for you.

The default is good enough for me but there is a program called shutter, that is pretty cool I think.

We had shutterbug in vl6.0, but not shutter.
We have shutterbug in vl7.0 as well, just have to install fox-toolkit
slapt-get --install fox
