Vector Linux 7 Live Installation
« on: January 23, 2012, 05:13:10 pm »

Hello!

I need to install VectorLinux 7 together with Windows XP on the same hard drive, previously I used Gparted to create partitions for installation, because I see no autopartitioning Vector Linux hard drive as it does ubuntu.

I only see that you can install only using the entire hard disk, so I gave up using Vector Linux.

They know how to install it from Vector Linux Live 7?

You can install VL7 to one (or more) partitions. It will install alongside WXP. However, you are right in that it does not have an "auto" option like you find in Ubuntu. The live version does not have that capability either.

Using gparted like you did is a great way to do it though. If you want to give it another go we'd be happy to help you.
