Hi guys, new to Vector and having trouble with graphics. In particular playback from streaming video, example youtube.

Probe during initial setup failed to identify video card. Set display at 800 x 600.

Initially switched to the vesa xorg.conf-vesa configuration. Can now get 1024 x 768.

Machine is 10 years + old Dell Latitude C600.

Anybody had similar problems and solved? Or does anyone have any ideas on getting the correct driver for the ATI Rage card.

The vesa driver will only give you basic features. Try running "vxconf" as root. It may work better after the installation.
