Code:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Rage 128 PF/PRO AGP 4x TMDS

root:# glxinfo | grep direct
direct rendering: Yes

Whenever I've tried anything that uses direct rendering, like mars or nexiuz, or even simply running "glxgears", the system freezes.  Is there a fix for this?

Tried extreme tux racer, and it stated "analog signal, can't display" (or something like that).  However, on the bright side, it didn't freeze this time.
