Even though no download was done and Firefox has nothing to tell me it keeps flashing and flashing in my LXDE panel.  It doesn't do that in SalixOS or any other distro.  I'd be in real trouble if I were epileptic or something.  Is there any way to stop this????

I'm running VL7 Light, full install.

11.0.  It seems that it starts flashing when a download completes (as it should) but that the flashing never stops after you check the download list.

I can't duplicate here, but this is in a virtual machine. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Does it make a difference how you check the download list? That is, whether you click on the list to raise it, click on the flashing icon, or select the "link" on the "Download Complete" pop-up?

No, it doesn't make a difference.

I was being driven nuts by the same problem in LXDE and was able to resolve it by making the following change:

1.  Enter "about:config" in the Firefox address bar.
2.  Enter "browser.blink_allowed" in the search field.
3.  Right click the entry, then select "Toggle" from the list of available actions.
4.  This should change the value from "true" to "false".

Fair warning:  I'm running a different distro (just happened to stumble upon this thread while searching for answers). It's still LXDE and Firefox, though, so I'm thinking it should work for you.
