Hello.  The few kde programs I have installed do not have any means of displaying their "help" menu.  It simply states "Could not launch KDE Help Center [sic].  Could not find service 'khelpcenter'"

I searched Gslapt for "khelpcenter" along with simply searching for "kde" and/or "help", but could not find anything that seemed as if it would provide a means for kde programs to display their help menu.  Does anyone know what I need to install to do this?  I'm using VL-7.0 standard (with xfce).

I'm using xfce, on VL7.0.  The version of kdegames is 4.8.1-i586-1vl70 from http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/veclinux-7.0/extra/

I simply installed kdegames and k9copy from gslapt, assuming that whatever dependencies were required to make the programs fully functional would also be installed.  I'm running xfce on VL7.0 (standard).  kfloppy also does not display anything under help (4.8.1-i586-1vl70 from http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/veclinux-7.0/extra/)

All the kde application work except the help portion?

do you have /usr/share/kde4/services/khelpcenter.desktop in your VL7?

No, that file is neither in that directory nor anywhere on my system.

khelpcenter is part of kdebase-runtime...i think u need to install kdebase-runtime to have khelpcenter...

PS: DO ALL the kde program work except the help option?

Okay, that did work.  Thanks.  The package was named kde-runtime rather than kdebase-runtime.  So, I installed it and now kde programs display their help centre.
