Hello, this is my fiest tread here, I hope i don't do anything wrong Smiley

This is my case:
I have a Nokia mobile phone, the N3110c. I am using it as a modem too, and its working just fine.
But the problem emerges, when I am trying to transfer data between the device and my old IBM thinkpad laptop (pentium 3). It just shows this loading bar and keeps going for eternity.
But when I use other distros or liveCDs to do this data transfer job, it works just fine, no problem at all. So my guess is, the problem lies in some kernel module that wasn't loaded nor compiled into the kernel image.
How do I find out which driver/module I need to recompile or load to solve this problem?

I'm using VL 6.0, btw. Thank you for reading, I really appreciate your help. Regards Smiley

you could boot one of the other live cd's and plug your phone in then run lsmod
save the results
and compare to the results of the same command on your Vectorlinux 6.0

What if its compiled in the kernel? How can I view it then? Thx.
