I have been trying different Linux's and I found this one ...

I would be coming from ubuntu..

I am wondering how hard is vector?

How do you install programs lets say another browser? for instance Ubuntu its software center

how would I install flash, in ubuntu its software center?

Whats the difference between the paid Vector than Standard?

If you like the defaults and stick to the official releases its pretty easy. When i installed vl7 STD Gold, it went pretty smoothly, all the hardware and network detected etc. Just remember to take the cd out of the drive when you reboot
The default X desktop in VL7 (xfce4) is attractive enough and functional. If you already have experience with a linux, go for it. Of all the distros i have used since about 96 or so, gentoo and vector are my favorite , and if you install gentoo, you have to sit there and wait for 3 days while it downloads and compiles

So Vector is easy I dont have to compile everything?

Just use GSLAPT I think it is to install programs ?

what about printer setup how hard is that?

ive never used vector thats why i thought ill ask the questions before I install it.

Flash is installed. (Actually every all that media codecs and such is preloaded)

Software is installed via gslapt see here ... Installing Software with Gslapt package manager

HP Printers are plug n play. Several others are too.  What is your printer?
