Which did you install the source tar.gz?  The dep package?

Best advice I can give at this point is to make a request for one of the packagers to make Glom of you here...

I installed the one specified for slackware (
Code: [Select]
ftp://ftp.slackware.org.uk/gsb/gsb-2.26_slackware-13.0/gsb/go/glom-1.10.1-i486-1gsb.txz)/  Upon further investigation I see that it needs postgresql which seems beyond my abilities since I am new to Linux.

I'll request as you suggested, thanks.

I tried running glom too.  For years I have been trying to replace my foxpro 2.6 database, which I still use (with dosemu).  But I haven't found anything on linux to take foxpro's place.   I was surprised to learn that postgresql is not in the vector repositories.  I am pretty sure it normally is.  But, since glom might run with sqlite, which is in the repositories, I tried it but apparently it needs gconfmm.  gconfmm is in the repositories but it would not install on my machine.  Gave a "FTP couldn't retrieve the specified file" error.  So this guy is probably going to go out with dos foxpro 2.6.
