Hello All,

So I followed VID4KEN tutorial on how to install KDE...

I went and enabled the testing package

I hit upgrade

I then typed KDE4-META

I then checked KDE 4.8.0

I hit apply

I then got a msg saying that KLIBS needed some dependencies

I hit cancel went back to gslapt and put in KLIBS and selected the 4.8 libs

so far its installing.. no dependencies errors.. we shall see

so did I do it right?  <G>

I'm moving remaining packages for kde4-4.8.3 tonight you should have an installable meta package for it in the morning.
It will be in testing, but If you do not want to be the first to test it out wait a bity and I will have tested it out myself.  I will let you know how it went for me.  Perhaps I'll update the video.

On vectorlinux standard 32bit kde4-4.8.3 is good to go.
64bit users will still have to wait as there is a delay in building on 64bit.
