Huh I've installed VL for the first time and didn't write paswd either remember it, can I recover from booting time? I have installed Win7 and in a 15GB partition installed VL, since I read it is a very good distro and I am a little tired of Ubuntu. Could you give me a hand, please? Thanks, regards.

Can you boot up to the login screen?
Have you tried entering root as user and leaving password blank?
If you can sign in that way you can use vasm to change your user name and password and also your root password.

To: stretchedthin:Yes, I can see login screen where I enter username & pswd but is rejected. Now I'll try with root without pswd or I can enter original pswd when asked during install config? Thanks for both answers, first the first. See ya later.

Wink thanks again bro stretchedthin. This was the only way I could enter and change, write and remember my pswd. Now I'm in my way trying VectorLinux. It's really light and fast but now I have to learn all the options and above all how update my video drivers; have a nVidia GForce 9400 512MB RAM not shared PCIe 16x and when VL stars 2 or 3 colorful horizontal lines show for a moment.
