CherryPy, is now in the testing repository.  Install via Gslapt or Slapt-get

Code: [Select]

CherryPy is as easy as…

import cherrypy
class HelloWorld(object):
    def index(self):
        return "Hello World!"
    index.exposed = True

cherrypy.quickstart(HelloWorld())

Let me know how it goes for you, and I will move CherryPy to the regular repository.

@Chris530

Hoping you can give some feedback on the package requested.  It has been built and is available in the testing repository.

If you are unsure of gslapt and how to set up the testing repo, see here...

Yes CherryPy 3.2.2 installs and works fine.  Sickbeard and sabnzbd want an earlier version of CherryPy but I was able to sort it out.

Thanks :)

Cool.  Sickbeard and sabnzb look interesting as well.

You must have done cheetah yourself and installed it on your system?  I saw it was needed for sabnzb as well.

If you recommend these programs for other users i could try them as well.

Yes had I did my homework rather than take the easy way out by requesting the package I'd realize sickbeard and sabnzbd want older versions of Cherrypy so I did have to install the old version.  Funny thing is if I remove the newest version with gslapt then sabnzbd won't work - but oh well it works with both installed.

I've been using sickbeard to automate my tv downloading with sabnzbd for about a year now.  Those combined with xbmc to stream and watch directly allowed me to drop satellite for TV.
