My computer was on and idle for a while, and the Xfce Terminal Emulator was on (just the command prompt, there were no commands that I had given).  I just came back and found the following message:

No rodents here.  I suspect the kernel had a little gas, and the message emitted is the equivalent of a kernel belch.
