I am in fvwm crystal now, and it works. Would love to know how to manually edit the menu though. cause no matter how many times I regenerate the menu gslapt won't appear. Applications finder does though which is a good thing but I still would like it to appear in the main menu

Lyn,
I am not sure why you cannot access the untested repo but you can try manually install it...download libstroke, habak, trayer, fvwm and fvwm-crystal from the untested repo and use installpkg to install it...

Thank you!!! now installed the individual packages... looks very nice, now to build the menu and work out how to use it, one thing seem to flick between the various virtual desktops without any reason, so some form of sensitivity I need to turn down there.... good that we are a distro with this very very configurable environment.  And wonderful just how responsive the packagers are to requests.  Another reason why this is the distro I have stuck with.
