PithosA native pandora.com client for Linux

Pithos is a native Pandora Radio client for Linux. It's much more lightweight than the Pandora.com web client, and integrates with desktop features such as media keys, notifications, and the sound menu.

Features

Play / Pause / Next Song
    Switching stations
    Remembering user name and password
    Cover Art
Thumbs Up / Thumbs Down / Tired of this song
    Notification popup with song info
Launching pandora.com song info page and station page
Reconnecting when pandora session times out
    Editing QuickMix
    Creating stations
    Media Key support
    Proxy support
    Last.fm scrobbling

I installed Pithos with hata_ph's help in this thread below.

http://forum.vectorlinux.com/index.php?topic=16770.0

Though I don't  need it. hata_ph was kind enough to package it up and make it available for Vector Linux Users.
Pithos makes it easier to scrobble lastfm via a gui/gtk interface instead of using command line and text files like in pianobar. His package installs into multimedia in the start menu and launches just fine if you follow his and mine instructions in that thread. Pithos is a viable option for using lastfm for you European Vector Linux Users since Pandora radio is a USA only radio station.

After you satisfy the dependencies that need installing pointed out in that thread. Just download the

http://www.4shared.com/file/-02H8KFZ/pithos-0317-x86_64-1vl70.html (this is for 64 bit computer)

or the

http://www.4shared.com/file/ryT1KIun/pithos-0317-i586-1vl70.html (this is for 32 bit computer)

depending on what works best for you on your gear. I tested both out on 2 different pieces of Hardware. One Laptop and One Desktop. Both work out OK for me. Remember to right click and use install package from drop down menu after you open Thunar to where you downloaded the .txz. If it does not work out for you. Right click the package again and pick uninstall package from drop down menu. Then try the other package instead.

Again I reiterate , Make sure the dependencies are satisfied and make sure you install exactly the packages recommended in that thread using Gslapt.  You will see my mention of me downgrading gstreamer and gst to the correct package name in that thread.
