I'm afraid I am a bit out of my league here. I did check bios and there is nothing which seems applicable. Very few adjustments can be made there. I did, just in case I didn't understand the naming, change all the defaults, such as sata and svm, to their opposite, but that did not enable the second display, so I reset the bios to default settings.
I tried lspci - vv and don't really understand its output. Here is that part of the lspci -vv output which I think covers anything that deals or may deal with the video drivers:
