Hello!
Does somebody has an updated version of skype? The one in gslapt seems to be only beta version and doesnt work well when somebody calls me. Is it something common? When I receive a call, it sounds but the application doesnt jump in the desktop and I cannot answer the call. I am running the beta version 2.2.
Thanks in advance

agusplastra,
You might give ekiga or linphone a try. They are in the repositories now.

Thanks!
I would appreciate if you can package that for me. I still have some credit for making regular phonecalls with skype, but as soon as I use it, I will move to linphone or ekiga. I am not a fan of Microsoft.
Thanks again!

Unfortunately, that only works if all your contacts also use it.

I just download from skype the latest versions into my home directory. Open it with "mc" copy it the to ~/skype, make a simlink in ~/bin/ to ~/skype/skype and have no problems in VLSOHO-7 and other linux distros.

@hata_ph, I gave it a bit of a test, starts up fine, but it's too late for me to call anybody. I have moved it to the 32bit testing repo so anybody else is welcome to give it a try.
