How do I go about finding out if my video display card drivers need to be updated, and if they do, how do I go about updating them?

I'm new to this but what is the make and model of the card?  Have you run lsmod or lshw from terminal?

Are you running proprietary drivers or neaveau?

If you want to use proprietary drivers you could try this...

Or even better yet - is there a set of instructions that I can print out (to help me remember what to do in the future, if necessary)?

I have the drivers installed, and everything about the display seems to be working correctly.
