I am trying to convert a DVD into MP4 for playback on a Galaxy Tab 10.1 and
When I get transfer the .mp4 file to my tablet, this Error Message appears, “Sorry, the video cannot be played”. Can you help me to play my video on Galaxy Tab?

I don't have a Galaxy Tab, but here is what I'd do if I did.
Download something that is known to work on the Galaxy tab.
Transfer it to my Vectorlinux box and open it up in vlc (download from repo if you don't have).
With video playing go to Tools --> codec information
This will give you not just the container type, but the video codec and audio codec used in the container.

Then open up the video you want to put in the G-Tab in Openshotvideo editor.
Drag it to the timeline and click the Red export button.
Then under "Advanced" tab do the following...
Click the arrow and open up the Video Settings and Audio Settings options.
Here you will have to set the information as you saw it in VLC when testing the working video.
Then export the video to that format.  Since it was shown to work in vlc it should work again.

Few things need to be confirmed first:
1. This MP4 video is playable on computer;
2. The SD card is under good condition and can be used without problem
3. The video is under 4 GB size limit because of FAT32.

If you want to transfer your videos to Galaxy Tab 10.1 from your PC computer, you need to connect your tablet to PC first via USB. Here is the step-by-step guide:

First, connect the two devices using a USB cable.

Secondly, after connected the cable to both devices, your PC computer will install the drivers to facilitate the connection.

Thirdly, the tablet instantly is mounted as another storage device. Now you can copy media flies/document to Galaxy Tab 10.1 from PC freely.

Make sure that the output format can be played in your native player. You can have a try to do the conversion with Pavtube DVD Ripper. I think it is a good conversion tool. Wink
