stretchedthing has built a new Playonlinux package for VectorLinux 32bit repository 7.0.

Sorry, playonlinux is still not working on 64bit.
Developers See VL-packages board for the thread re: 64bit playonlinux...

Code:
playonlinux: playonlinux (GUI for managing Windows and DOS programs under linux)
playonlinux:
playonlinux: PlayOnLinux is a piece of software which allows you to easily install
playonlinux: and use numerous games and apps designed to run with Microsoft® Windows®.
playonlinux: Few games are compatible with GNU/Linux at the moment and it certainly

I think oMasta gave this a pass on the developers board.  I'll give it a day or two for someone to say otherwise then I'm moving to  extra.

I did some testing on both 32bit and 64bit.

Playonlinux 32bit needs to have wxPython version 2.8.12.0 put into the slack-required file.  As the dependencies are still satisfied with wxPython 2.8.11.0 but it will not work with that.
However, after installing wxPython I was able to install and run a couple applications.

Playonlinux 64bit complains about missing 32bit openGL and says there may be problems.
Tried a couple things, I can't get anything to run in 64bit.

I had a play with Playonlinux and installed the wxPython package as well, was able to download a few games and play successfully - they launched in dos box so quite old games. Had less luck installing Alpha Centauri, but it seems to run under wine quite well..... I installed under Playonlinux, but it doesn't create an icon to launch under Playonlinux, but I can run it by opening the disk in a file manager and launching the autorun.exe icon on the disk.... finds saved games etc, so I suspect its just me not getting Playonlinux to play nice as it were.....

Oh and should have said this is on 32 bit...
