Can anyone recommend any video editing software that will divide a video into chapters?

Recommend is relative... but k9 copy is like dvd shrink for win if you want the menu and chapters available in vlc rather than a single file... OR.. Avidemux I think will cut, filter and encode if you mean extract a chapter. I replaced wine and dvd shrink with k9 copy recently and was just looking at avidemux so not experienced with these but feel they may help based on the query. both are available in the repository.

edit: while reading.. appears you already have these, sorry.
