hata_ph has built a new Enlightenment package for VectorLinux 32bit and 64bit repositories 7.0.

    Package:   enlightenment-0.17.0-i586-1vl70.txz
    MD5: bf767f1efb6947039e928f10e311fafb
    Package Size:   4580 K
    Installed Size:   16330 K
    Sources: http://vlcore.vectorlinux.com/src/veclinux-7.0/enlightenment

enlightenment: enlightenment (Enlightment window manager)

After testing this package please stop back here and let us know how it works for you.

PS... I put this package directly into the extra repositories (it's 16 packages and I did not want to move it twice)
So please do let me know if there is trouble and I'll move it out.

There is one hitch.  Wicd does not show up in the shelf (or panel) and EConnMan is not included in this build ... no fault of hata_ph's but an upstream problem.
The solution is simple enough just start Wicd Network manager from the applications menu if there is a need.

I tried it out.  It installed fine, and no problems so far.  Very nice.

Econnmanager is bloat and doesn't have VPN but Networkmanager works with Enlightenment and has VPN,

Just got everything installed. Initial impression was "AWESOME"! However.....

Disk management is borked under Enlightenment. It allows me to view the disk partitions, but the second I attempt to mount something, it tells me to go pound sand and doesn't even bring up the password box.

I'll play around with it some more later today.
