Is it possible to retrieve mail from browser based mail programs like
operamail.com or fastmail.fm with sylpheed or Seamonkey Mail and if so
what would be the port and pop or what would be the configurations?

Do a google search for "fastmail.fm" and "pop".

It seems that neither with sylpheed nor with seamonkey-mail I am able to connect to fastmail.fm to access my mail there. I get with both programs "connection refused". I followed the instruction exactly and tried other settings as well, nothing will work.
