Ted - rtf editor wysiwyg word processor
« on: February 06, 2013, 02:07:16 pm »

current version in vector repo /extras is 2.21. It is normally named "Ted" as there is also confusingly a "ted" which is a small text editor as opposed to word processor. The author calls it "Ted".

I started using Ted when a development version of Abiword was put into the last distro i was using which was almost unusable... and there were problems with LO-writer i found. So i started using Ted which is nice if one wants a basic quick loading word processor for letters and quick notes whereas Abiword is rather slow to load i find from a file click in Thunar.

i've installed the repos Ted 2.21 and it's fine but cannot print and i think the scripts for rtf2pdf and rtf2ps haven't been included.

He is shortly to release 2.23 (next few days) and i was thinking of doing a build if anyone else is a user.
